The Columbia College Office of Institutional Research's purpose and mission is to supply the college and community with needed data, research and analysis to understand our students, their needs, and to plans for their success.
Did you know?
As of Spring Semester, 2012:
- Columbia College has served an average 3,800 students per term,
- Has had a higher ratio of students who succeed in credit courses (69.2%) compared to California State's 67.9%,
- Has increased the number of its distance and online course sections from 10 in 2006-07 to over 75 in 2011-12,

Has had a higher ratio of students who succeed in distance and online courses (68.9%) compared to California State's 67.5%, and
- Has seen an increase in the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) students enrolling in online courses by 157%!

- Review of College SLO and Program Review data needs
- Columbia College Student Health Survey-completed
- Cutscore validation project for Accuplacer student placements into English and Math courses-completed
- Development of Columbia College's Policy and Procedures for Human Subjects Research (HSR)-completed inhouse, forwarding to for District review
- Update Institutional Effectiveness data (internal)
- Review of College SLO and Program Review data needs
