Columbia College Vice President of Student Learning Selected

At their January 11, 2012 Board Meeting, the Yosemite Community College District Board of Trustees selected Dr. Leslie Buckalew to serve as the Columbia College Vice President of Student Learning, starting on February 1, 2012.

As Vice President of Student Learning at Columbia College, Dr. Buckalew will serve as the Chief Instructional Officer, the Chief Student Services Officer, and the Accreditation Liaison Officer.  The division is the largest within the college and is responsible for the operating components of college instruction and student services.  Dr. Dennis Gervin, College President, was pleased with the Board’s decision and stated, “Dr. Buckalew is an experienced educational leader, whose leadership style and passion to serve students is an exceptional ‘fit’ for Columbia College. I am very proud to have her as part of our team.”
