Tuolumne County Students are Mad About Science

Columbia College will be the site for a Tuolumne County science camp for third to eighth graders on August 1-5 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Sequoia and Toyon Buildings. Themed “Mad about Science,” the camp is sponsored by Front Porch, Inc. and is the third collaboration with Columbia College and the Tuolumne County Office of Education.

One-hundred twenty-five students have signed up to participate in the environmentally-focused activity. Invitations were sent to all public, private, and home-schooled students in the county.

Columbia College Professor Dr. Jeff Tolhurst will be joined by 5 additional teachers within the county to conduct the educational learning at the camp.
