It is intended that the resources and information here are used to expand knowledge about how our college addresses the ACCJC Standards, and how we can work together to remain on course as we develop, evaluate and improve systems that build our institutional capacity in a manner that effectively serves our students and community.

This document is a good starting point to gain an understanding of the general concepts, activities and organization associated with a self study. Pages 5-9 of this manual give a quick overview of ACCJC and the Accreditation process. Pages 15-26 cover the purposes and processes associated with the development and implementation of a Self-Study. Additionally, page 14 provides background on the ACCJC Rubrics for Evaluating Institutional Effectiveness. |
| ACCJC Guide to Evaluating Institutions |
| This document is designed to assist in the preparation of a Self Study Report. The Guide is meant to stimulate thoughtful consideration as to whether or not an institution not only meets the Accreditation Standards, but to explore if the institutional culture goes beyond mere compliance, and is focused on Sustainable Continuous Quality improvement. Pages 6-8 give a good introduction and summary regarding the 6 ACCJC Themes, and this document also is a good place to gain understanding as to what 'evidence' is, and how it pertains to the self study. |

The purpose of the ACCJC Evaluative Rubric is meant to provide a common set of evaluative benchmarks for institutions to use in evaluating progress in three critical areas. These areas are ones that the commission finds many institutions need further guidance in understanding what is expected. This is a short, concise document, and is critical to communicate effectively regarding progress towards specific standards. |
